Just on a hunch, when I took this job I insisted forcefully on being
provided with Nitro PDF. This little gem converts Word documents, Jpegs,
Excel, Powerpoint -- anything I've asked -- into clean Pdf files. I post
these in the shared folder and there's no question about the curious or
marginally-computer-literate making changes to original documents because I
have the only access to the electronic master copies. There's also no need
to argue with anybody who feels slighted because they don't have read-write
access.
