RE: Chattiness in manuals

Verging on chattiness but umpteen times worse:

"Installation of XXX application <and/or hardware> is fast and easy."

Invariably, it is neither.

I will not buy programs or peripherals of this little piece of chattiness is
on the box or the splash page.  Not only does it fail to communicate useful
technical information, it's an out-and-out lie.

I guess this would also fit in the "pet peeve" thread.
