Boy, this sounds familiar! I just left a job like this.
You may find that your reviews take a long time to complete, and you may
not get as much feedback as you want. Don't let that trouble you. Work
hard to get reviews for technical accuracy, and work constantly with
your audience. The traditional structure of a department generating
printed books may not work for you.
