Subject:Context-Sensitive Help with WebHelp From:"Keith Hansen" <KRH -at- weiland-wfg -dot- com> To:<techwr-l -at- lists -dot- techwr-l -dot- com> Date:Mon, 30 Oct 2006 09:13:27 -0600
Hello all,
Here's my question: When using WebHelp, what are the best options for
providing context-sensitive help? As I understand it, the usual way of
doing c-s help (Map IDs) is not an option in WebHelp. I am familiar with
the following options for WebHelp c-s help:
* Use Tooltips (aka Screentips) to provide specific bits of information
for specific fields
* Take the name of the relevant application page; then open a specific
help page in a new window using that name (In other words, have a help
link on a page coded to bring up an appropriate help topic for that
page.)
Any other options you would recommend? Thanks in advance!
Keith
