Nancy,
Hi again.
I have some copyright pages that have what look like
H1s and H2s. To keep them from appearing in my TOC,
I've made styles called H1noToc and H2noToc. They
look exactly like H1 and H2, but don't appear in the
TOC.
You need to go back into Index and Tables and select
the OPTIONS button. On the Table of Contents Options
window, select Styles, then assign a TOC level (1
through whatever) to each Style (Chapter, Preface,
etc.). Click OK to exit and return to the Index and
Tables, Table of Contents tab. Click OK again to exit
and regenerate the TOC.
I don't know if you can assign the same TOC level to
multiple styles.
Hope this helps.
