Re: Word TOC loses formatting
If this is a heinous transgression of some un/written rule about Word,
I'd appreciate if senior writers would chip in and specify why...
Nancy, sorry - aside from that outline-level thing, you could try this first:
Change the code of your TOC field so it looks something like this:
{TOC \h \z \t "Title,1,Heading 1,2,Heading 2,3,Heading 3,4,Heading 4,5"}
and then toggle it back to output view (Shift+F9) and update (F9). See
if this does what you need.
I hope you're experimenting on a copy of the document! :-)
