We will most likely see a bit more interest in Java, but I doubt that
this "news" will cause any earth-shattering changes. Javahelp has always
been the "ugly baby" in the Java portfolio, and I don't see this
changing. One hopes that someone will step in to provide a stronger,
open-source alternative or extension to out-of-the-box Javahelp.

Here's something to think about, though: now that Java is open-source,
will Oracle come out with its own "brand" of Java the same as it has
with Linux? Having once worked at Oracle, I know that Larry Ellison is
obsessed with beating out Microsoft as the world's number one software
company...
