Oh, and just to be completely pedantic, since it is Friday,
the statement is also incorrect. Chlorophyll does not
"make food," it just collects the necessary energy from
light to fuel the process (think "solar collector"). And
only in plants. Photosynthesis also occurs in certain
forms of bacteria that contain no chlorophyll at all.
We have now reached the limits of what I have retained
about photosynthesis from my 40-years-ago HS biology
class.
