That's too bad, because I wish I had a few bucks for every time
someone working for me made major changes to a document
because "they heard" something was going to change from
someone and didn't take the time to verify that what "they
heard" was a definite decision and not just one that someone
was arguing for. Unless the question is presented as "you are
informed by project management," the first thing I'm going to
do in that first 15 minutes is get the project manager on the
phone and verify what "I heard." Only then do I start any fights
with giraffes.

Guys...the question is an interview question. If I'm the interviewer
and I ask that question, I'm not isn't interested in having the
question analysed. I'm interested in knowing what you do based on the
establishment of the fact that something isn't supported.

Just keep in mind the question about getting an elephant into a 'fridge.
