The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
My emergency kit contains a 12-pack of Magic Hat Roxey Rolle, one bottle
each of Merlot and Sauvignon Blanc, a baguette, garlic butter, several
types of cheese, olives....
Actually, whenever we take off on a trip farther than the city limits,
we have the cell phones (and charger), cameras, binoculars, detailed
maps, extra water and snacks, blankets (including two space blankets),
first aid kits, compass (they don't need batteries), surplus entrenching
tool, 6x8 blue poly tarp, and a spare tool kit. It all fits nicely into
a box that we can switch between vehicles.
