Oops, I just realized your post has nothing to do with AuthorIT, which
is a Hat I use where this problem often occurs. None-the-less the fix
will still work; CTRL-A and F9.

Subject: MS Word TOC Numbering Ghost
Hello Everyone,
My saga continues with the numbering problems with MS
Word 2003. First, thank you to everyone who gave
advice last time. It proved most helpful.
Now I have a new problem.
When a colleague opened a document I had sent to him
on his computer the TOC initially shows up with every
page reference appearing as all "2" in either the
Normal or Print Layout views. This seems to remain
constant until you toggle to the Print Layout view
more than once. Then it automatically revises the TOC
and all of the page numbers are correctly displayed.
Has anyone else had this problem?
Thank you for your time and attention.
- Anthony
