I think King taught creative writing at UMaine Bangor at one point.  

When I'm out on the weekends, sometimes I introduce myself as a writer.
I say, "You may have read some of my better known works, like
'Specification and Bid Manuals A-M for the Ike Hamilton Exhibition
Center' or 'Unique Application Identifier Code Changes."  

It is a singularly unsuccessful approach. :)
