Hi Kimberly,
Switch to Docbook and use profiles.
I know this perhaps sounds nuts but look at this from a readers perspective,
especially the Linux user ;-) Just kidding, both users ...
Here is your para:
> Edit the databaseContext.xml file located in the
> /opt/oleopenlogic-enterprise-4.2/storemanager/config directory on Linux and
> the c:\ole\openlogic-enterprise-4.2\storemanager\config directory on
> Windows as follows:
<para>Edit the databaseContext.xml file.</para>
<command os="linux">
$ vi /opt/oleopenlogic-enterprise-4.2/storemanager/config/databaseContext.xml
</command>
<command os="windows">
> notepad c:
\ole\openlogic-enterprise-4.2\storemanager\config\databaseContext.xml
<command>
Now you can output a book for Linux users and a book for Windows users.
Linux users only see:
Edit the databaseContext.xml file.
$ vi /opt/oleopenlogic-enterprise-4.2/storemanager/config/databaseContext.xml
Windows users only see:
Edit the databaseContext.xml file.
> notepad c:
\ole\openlogic-enterprise-4.2\storemanager\config\databaseContext.xml
This makes reading the document a lot easier since readers do not have to read
information that they are not interested in or can make no use of because
they are not using the other OS.
Hope this helps.
