Well, it would probably need to be something (for a given
interviewer/hiring manager) 1. exotic enough to them to be
interesting, yet 2. not offensive to them either. In this case, I
suppose some communities wouldn't care for military experience of any
kind. Or on the coast, submarine service may not be exotic enough.
YMMV, know your audience, etc. Worked well for me, seemingly. Or
maybe I just thought it helped and I succeeded in spite of it.
Could be anything in your past ... lion tamer? French foreign legion?
;) Depends on how interesting one can make it sound, too, I guess.
