A couple of weeks ago, I lamented that since signing up with Gadball.com
job search engine, I'm getting mucho solicitations from Liberty Mutual
Insurance to contact them about "opportunities". (I forget the exact
wording, but they're veiled invites to join their sales force.)
Today, I received a personal phone call from Doreen Vreeland, vp of
Human Resources there, and who received word of my e-mail here.
Doreen is pretty perplexed about the entire situation.
She says that LMI HR is NOT mining or harvesting e-mail addresses, nor
is there a business connection between Gadball and Liberty Mutual and
she herself wants this stopped.
She asked me to forward any of these solicitations directly to her and I
invite any of you who have seen a marked increase in LMI solicitations
to do the same.
PLEASE keep it civil and professional. She didn't have to phone me
directly, and she was very professional on the phone.
