TechWhirl (TECHWR-L) is a resource for technical writing and technical communications professionals of all experience levels and in all industries to share their experiences and acquire information.
For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
As I have moved systems over the years, I have also moved my dog-eared
copy of PSP V3.12 circa 1995. It still works like a champ on XP. And
since it's an .exe file it doesn't have to be installed. It's very small
and works very well and does everything I want and has at least one
feature that few other tools have: the ability to erase a specific color
from an image. On top of all that, it was free.
Anyone else have favorite old tools they keep lugging along with them?
