When I wrote about network management, I often typed "newtrok." Fortunately the spelling checker caught that.
A colleague once wrote an instruction to "lick" a button.
In meeting minutes, our secretary (apparently) typed my name as "Streve;" her spelling checker proposed "Strive" as a correction, and she uncritically accepted it. My nickname instantly became "Strive," which, come to think of it, wasn't a bad thing 8^)
