Michael:
We enjoy modest success modifying complex Solid Edge renderings by
importing the PDF our Mech Eng department produces into CorelDRAW.
Depending on which versions and filters you use, we can get the drawings
into CorelDRAW as vector objects.
It's then a rather tedious process to delete unwanted lines and
features. We've been able to speed up that process with some VBA in
CorelDRAW and by working with our mechanical engineers to produce
special renderings that may be simpler views, or may have odd colors
assigned to help us distinguish between wanted and unwanted details
programmatically.
