Just for laughs I fed this thing 600 or so words from chapter 1 of 
"True at First Light" by Ernest Hemingway (about as "male" an
author as one could hope to pick).  The results:

Female Score: 769
Male Score: 572

And 850 words from Jane Austen's "Pride and Prejudice:"

Female Score: 1050
Male Score: 1158
