Did you check www.dice.com?  I searched for "technical writer" in San
Francisco, which picks up the surrounding area, and got 91 jobs.  I limited
the search to telecommuting only and got only two jobs.  When I searched all
of the US for telecommuting jobs only, I got 8 jobs, but they are mostly
requests for articles.
