Sounds like one of my jobs. Sat on a folding chair (which wobbled) and used a folding table where I had the leg between my legs. I was behind someone's desk that faced the counter where people came up to ask HR questions for the school district. I wound up answering a lot of questions myself since I was working on the procedures and heard the same answers a dozen times a day. I wound up using my own laptop since they couldn't locate a PC for me. Plus, I brought in a computer chair since "I wasn't worth it" to get a new one since I was a contractor.
