Moshe, write for your audience.
I am preparing documents for an Australian entity, and use Australian
English which is more British than US. This can lead to some incongruous
things like referring to the Australian Department of Defence and the US
Department of Defense. When I quote from a US source, I use their
spelling if I quote verbatim, but I use Australian English if I
paraphrase and use my own words. It is just a matter of watching the
context, and making sure any autotext corrections are carefully managed.
Australians, and no doubt English speakers in many other parts of the
world, are used to these language differences.
cheers
Kath
