RE: Flare and SharePoint (overview)

SharePoint is aptly named as it is a single point where files can be shared
at.

Its use varies widely according to its configuration by the SharePoint
Admin.

At its simplest ...

The point is accessed through a web browser such as IE.

You see a list of files similar to accessing an FTP site through a web
browser.

The feature is that you must "check out" a file in order to work on it.

This is great for revisioning as two people cannot check out the same file.

One master only.

As far as for file types - it does not matter.

One Tip - Firefox does not have an option that you can set that causes it
to forget the cached page and to always download the current page.

So for example, Al says the new file is there, and you look with Firefox,
and
tell Al he is crazy that the file is not.

Al tells Mark to get a clue and hit refresh.

Not that this has happened of course.

Note that there is also Check In and a host of other tools.

Just have to experiment with it for awhile like any new app.
