I need to find translators or a translation agency for user manuals. Do
you have some general advice or recommendations, things to take into
consideration, etc for me?
As the language is quite technical, knowledge in the graphical industry
would be preferred. In the past, we had quality issues. I set up a term
database in Excel for often-used terms, though.
The translator should be able to edit XML files (which is pretty
standard, I guess) and should have access to a translation memory
system. The TMS database should remain our property, i. e. that we could
get it after the job is done.
