It's a common mistake. Yes they both mean the same. Inflammable is
derived from inflame, and the Oxford English Dictionary does in fact
suggest using 'flammable' to avoid misunderstanding.

Any misunderstanding that involves a big BOOM is a slight oversight, IMHO. ;-)
