Someone posted this query to Techshoret, the Israeli tech writing e-mail
list: "Where's the most kosher Sukkah in the area of the Herzliya
Pituach indust. site?" (Herzliya Pituach has many IT firms, some of
which use freelance tech writers rather than maintaining their own TW
department. I've worked there in the past.)
In the case of Jews and Muslims who observe dietary laws, writing at a
customer's site might require finding a religiously appropriate lunch
venue. During the current week of Sukkot, observant Jews have the
additional challenge of finding a kosher Sukkah. During the current
month of Ramadan, I imagine that observant Muslims have their own
challenges.
(Why "most kosher"? Just like any other quality assurance metric, a
kosher Sukkah is a matter of degree, rather than a binary yes/no.)
Holiday Greetings to all,
Dan
