One example manual (a pdf) explaining a software program that I can offer is the Enfocus Pitstop Quick Start Guide. It's easy to find on their website. Here's the path (sometimes slow to load):

Welcome to the wonderful world of Techwr-l. Topics get hijacked all
the time, often by a handful of perennial favorite causes like certification
and DFDs. And guess what? We've had yet another outbreak of *both*
pseudo-topics (pseudo because there is never any meaningful exchange
of ideas) in just the past week. It's one of the reasons Techwr-l has
such a mixed reputation.
