TechWhirl (TECHWR-L) is a resource for technical writing and technical communications professionals of all experience levels and in all industries to share their experiences and acquire information.
For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
I haven't seen the variants "1ce" and "2ce" before. But "1ce" looks like a misspelling of "Ice" and "2ce" or rather "2c-e" is psychedelic drug, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2C-E. I imagine that both terms should be avoided.
Now in discussing years, "1 CE" and "2 CE" are both correct, since "CE" refers to "Common Era" and supplants "AD" and its religious connotations.

Subject: once or twice...
Has anyone come across the usage 2ce or 1ce as a form of the words
twice or once?
