reference the heading levels in the TOC they responded
immediately. Within a week of highlighting this issue we

----MADCAP ANALYZER-COMING SOON-------
MadCap Analyzer will provide reports and suggestions for your
Flare and Blaze projects, as well as add efficiency, consistency,
and speed to your authoring.
Some of the features of the Analyzer include:
MadCap Analyzer scans your project for suggestions to make
your project be more efficient:
- Variable suggestions
- Snippet suggestions
- New style suggestions
- Replace local style suggestions
- Frequent segments
- Frequent phrases
- Batch conversion of non-XML files
For example, in MadCap Analyzer, you can create snippets from
the Frequent Segments or Frequent Phrases window. Then your
project is scanned and all locations where the text occurs for
that snippet appears in the Suggested Snippets list. Select the
snippet you want to replace, and click Apply. The text is replaced
with the suggested snippet throughout your project.
Additionally, you can run reports, such as:
- Number of total topics
- Number of total words
- Number of total images
- Number of total snippets
- Broken links
- Broken bookmarks
- Undefined variables
- Undefined condition tags
- Topics not in the TOC
- Topics not linked
- Date project last modified
These reports can be graphed, analyzed and distributed to help
you make sure your project is complete and works the way you
and your users expect it to work.
Additionally, you can take advantage of the intelligent reuse
of content with IntelliSense, soon to be available within Flare
and Blaze. Flare and Blaze learns what you type, as you type it,
saving you hours of retyping the same words or phrases and
thereby resulting in quality and consistency throughout your
documentation.
Stay tuned for other new and exciting features and functionality
that we will be adding to Flare and Blaze!!!!!
As mentioned earlier, some of the Analyzer features mentioned
above will be added to the core functionality of Flare and Blaze.
We are soliciting your feedback and suggestions on these and
other specific features you would like to add.

CONFERENCE: LavaCon + Habitat for Humanity in New Orleans
A personal note from Jack Molisani, conference organizer:
LavaCon is organizing a Community Service Day with Habitat
for Humanity in New Orleans on Saturday October 27th.
On one hand, I dont want people to think that New Orleans NEEDS
a community service day, that restaurants arent open, that the
city is limping along--its not! There are actually more
restaurants open now than before Katrina: 861 now vs. 809
pre-K !
On the other hand, there are people outside the city proper who
are still living in FEMA trailers, families at ground zero
(where the levies breached in the Ninth Ward) who are still
rebuilding their houses from scratch, etc.
These are the people you will be helping during the Community
Service Day.
More info and photos are available on the conference website: http://
www.lavacon.org
Come to New Orleans.
See the city for yourself.
Then lend a hand and make a difference.
