Hey, I'm not liking that "showing up" thingie, at least not as a
requirement.
If the new technologies permit me to do my job on a laptop sitting out
in a field with my goats and I can prove productivity in that setting,
why shouldn't I be allowed to do that?
And management solely on the basis of "You walked in ten minutes late
this morning" (never mind that I was here until midnight every night for
the past week to meet a compliance audit response deadline with a
complete new set of documentation, pant pant) is always a real good
indicator that a change of employers is in my near future.
Even though I do agree that showing up is 98% of anything, and 'way too
many people today don't seem to have it in their skillset.
