Subject:Frame Hyperlink Problem From:wendy_lewis -at- goodyear -dot- com To:techwr-l -at- lists -dot- techwr-l -dot- com Date:Thu, 25 Oct 2007 10:43:34 -0400
Hi Gang, I have been working around this problem for years now and finally
decided I should ask the experts.
Why won't Frame 7.1 allow me to make hyperlinks to files starting with
some letters? Letters like F and T. The syntax that I'm using is:
message openfile reference\FestoCylinderClamp.pdf
Somehow the \ is reacting with the F and causing the syntax to
automatically change to:
message openfile referenceestoCylinderClamp.pdf
With some other letters, it doesn't change, just doesn't work.
So instead, I have to rename the file and make the link:
message openfile reference\pFestoCylinderClamp.pdf
Im a lone writer (yea, at Goodyear) and have tried asking the coders. No
help. Can you help?
