Dear list,
Just adding to the comments on this tread: In case any of you want to have a look how DITA can be implemented on Microsoft SharePoint 2007 I just want to inform you that we offer private webinars for technical writing teams. The webinar includes discussing best practice around writing DITA topics and maps and presents how you can collaborate on SharePoint with e.g. EMetaL and FrameMaker.
Please feel free to sign up for our webinars as well.
PS - we are a little "over-booked" right now so it may take a few weeks to "squeeze you in".
Thanks, Ole
Best Regards

The book "Introduction to DITA: A User Guide..." by Jennifer Linton and
Kylene Bruski was recommended to me. I own the book but I have not read it
yet. Here are three other avenues you could take to learn about DITA.
1. Companies that sell products for use with DITA often have great webinars
to get you started, like:
There are lots to choose from in each of these categories.
