When I am in between projects, I will go around the office and see what little things I can do to help the developers, HR, the boss etc. Most of the stuff I will do is completely out of my job description, but it beats sitting in the cube trying to look busy. It also has the added benefit of building good will for those times I am in a rush and have to whine to the developers to get stuff to me on time. Some call it sucking up, but whatever...it works!
