The way I read the whole mess was that Wanda did not KNOW that her
formatting had been stripped UNTIL it came back from the list. By that
point, she had used up all her get-up-and-format (those months of
ten-hour days and unrelenting discouragement will do that to a person),
so she didn't re-send with additional, experimental carriage returns
inserted.

I'm thinking that Ned and others hit the nail on the head. The original
purpose was catharsis, and maybe a little fishing for sympathy. From
herself, she got that with the first post. From me, she gets the
sympathy.  It seems deserved.
