You probably wasn't, but it shows how words can be misconstrued. I
sympathize with Wanda's stressful situation; however, I agree with those
that were upset with her flippant reply to a simple suggestion that her
posting was extremely hard to read, and therein lies the heart of the
problem. Yes we nitpick and sometimes slap down. That's the nature of the
beast. A number of us have been around for a long time and we have strong
opinions.
However, with all that said, I agree with Bill....there really is no value
to this thread as the original poster and her first responder have worked
everything out.
Now, everyone get back to work.......

I agree that "A significant portion of the list's membership are hard
working professional technical writers who often bend over backwards to
help fellow writers, no matter what level." Several contributors have
been on this list for over a decade, and I have the deepest professional
respect for them. I'd also add that a significant, vocal few speak up
only to nitpick, patronize, or slap down. I thought it obvious that
wasn't speaking to anyone who, like yourself, normally contributes
convivially and constructively.
