And your sophistry is good enough to save for posterity. I don't agree
with how you parsed Lauren's argument. In contrast to what you suggest,
I think she _intended_ the following: 

Legal writers do not do technical writing.
Technical writers do not do legal writing.
A is doing legal writing.
Therefore, A is not a technical writer.

If Lauren is guilty of anything, it is begging the question.
