TechWhirl (TECHWR-L) is a resource for technical writing and technical communications professionals of all experience levels and in all industries to share their experiences and acquire information.
For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
Not to be too much of a downer on this, but in order for the courts to
intervene, there really has to be a significant amount of damages (ISTR
something about the round yellow smiley face and possibly Mr Natural). When
I have stumbled across misuse of my web postings, a simple email usually
gets the writing deleted, or a proper attribution amended (and an apology).
After the first batch of these, I started adding a usage statement at the
bottom of every web page that I write, and I haven't had a lot of problems
since then.
