Eek!
I was a member of several, and I ran my own TBBS and then MajorBBS back
in the day... but I was just starting (and had spent the big bucks for
the software and bunches of ZyXel and USR modems) right about the time
that there inter-web thingie was takin' off... dang it!

I even attended Jack Rickard's ONEBBSCON (Online Network Exposition
Bulletin Board System Convention) and still have the tote-bags, as well
as one or two well-worn Major BBS t-shirts "Doing cool things with
communications technology and making a buck at it".

Does that get me in as "geek" ?   :-)
