I never clock staff. For one thing, *I* would have to
be there all the time to do it, and I don't work to a
clock.
What I expect from staff is that I will always be able
to reach them during office hours if something comes
up that requires their attention, and that nobody they
work with will ever complain to me that *they* couldn't
reach them if they needed them during office hours.
Beyond that, they're adults and professionals who
know their objectives and deadlines, and I am not a
babysitter.
