You haven't mentioned what OS you're using, but nowadays, pretty much
all OSs should be capable of firewalling off the port - denying all
connections from the network to your system on, say, ports 80 and 443.
OTOH, Apache probably has a configuration setting somewhere (I'm no
expert with that) that you can use to tell it to only listen on the
localhost loopback interface - 127.0.0.1.
