Now people on THIS list are saying that too. But as far as the
connotation of "appear," it isn't just me. I remember having this
discussion with one of our editors. However, that was awhile ago.
We're having our semi-monthly departmental meeting on Tuesday, 6/17, and
part of the agenda is possible changes to our documentation practices.
I'm hoping I get a chance to mention that I've been discussion some of
these issues about displays/appears and the opening of windows with
people on TECHWR-L, and to sound the rest of the department out on these
subjects.
