Good point! And it's true of everything in nature as well, if we want to
consider the matter from the point of view Clarke takes in that statement.
That is, what isn't "magical" about life itself, after all -- that each
thing that lives starts from a cell containing the code (literally) for the
entire organism throughout its life?
