I am working with a master document (just part of the project...I know it is
a frustrating endeavor) and am having trouble linking the new styles I
create in the sub-document to the master document.
I did what seemed intuitive to me and used templates and add ins to add the
new styles directly to the template. These new styles show up on the
template of the master document and sub-documents.
The problem is that the styles don't transfer to the master document. The
styles display on the sub-document, but not the master. This is not good
because I need the styles to create conditional text and images. The
conditional images don't show up because they are formatted in one of these
new styles.
I would rather not work on the master document directly because it is a huge
document and very slow and prone to crashing from time to time.
