Hi All
Well I got laid off today. I am a captive (or should I say WAS a captive) employee. Was with the co 5 years - and they got bought. We knew they were up for sale but they've been up for sale for like 4 yearsw. Well it came to fruition this week. I am sad because I really liked the software and the people I worked with. My hubbie and I had planned a move to FL in like a year and a half, but since this happened we are considering just making it sooner.

Does anyone know how it is for tech writers in the
1) Ft Lauderdale area?
2) Miami area (the outskirts - not Miami proper - can't handle it)
3) Ft Myers (greater) area
4) Tampa area
He and I have family in all these areas.
I guess I should add that, right now it sucks EVERYWHERE, I know, so how is it under normal conditions for tech writers in these areas, and then you can answer how is it now, if you live or have lived in any of these areas. You can email me offlist if you would
