The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
I've pulled down a trial of RoboHelp 7 and find that it's very slow
even with a single project and a couple of topics. Building a CHM file
takes a couple of minutes. I have dual-core centrino with 2gb of RAM
so my PC *seems* okay.
Is there a less-resource-intensive help maker that can generate CHM
files? I've tried HelpScribble and HelpBreeze, but their UI's are
terrible and unusable.
Or -- is there a way to tame RoboHelp?
