RE: Copyright verbiage for PDF manual

 Can you provide them with a PDF on CD? A low investment with a high
return in customer satisfaction. They get their own copy. You can then
state on the CD, "The contents of this CD are for use of the owner of
this software. You may print the contents for your own personal use."
And then a general copyright on the CD as well....

This way, all customers get a "manual", albeit not printed. You would of
course advise them to look for updates on the website.

I think this would help to get rid of complaints on all ends.
