Now there's an interesting thought.

I recently changed the address I was using for this mailing list; in
fact, I changed it twice, once to my googlemail address and once from
googlemail to my new work address.

I received list emails fine at my googlemail address, but I discovered
today that the list server recognized neither my googlemail address nor
my new work address for purposes of actually posting to the list; it was
still stuck on my original address

I don't remember receiving a confirmation email for the first change,
and I /definitely/ didn't receive one for the second... coincidence?  Or
confirmation?
