To some extent, yes.
I believe this depends upon what type of work you're willing to accept. Many
of us work on location, many work remotely. There are advantages and
disadvantages to both. If the work isn't where you're at, then you go to the
work, in our field, you can go "virtually". A few things you must consider
are:
- Do I have the technology to be a Web Worker? (e.g. Broadband,
Equipment, Software, etc.)
- Will I need to start my own company?
- Do I need Health Insurance?
- What are my Financial needs (now and future)?
- How will I promote my services (marketing)? Can I do this myself or do
I need to hire someone to do it?
- Where do I start?
- I need work. NOW!
Often times we are forced into this scenario. Many of us make it work
because we have to. Is there a place that helps us answer these questions?
