Business analyst and business process reengineering analyst, as well as
quality assurance tester and project manager.
I was able to segue to the BA positions while I worked for a consulting
firm. There was a lot more opportunity to move into other roles there, and
as a technical writer, I often did BA and tester work even though my title
was different.
The BA work pays better and the role is better respected, I think, but
that's a whole other issue! :-).
