Subject:Web stylesheets/nomenclature help needed From:Susan Seifert <ss22 -at- lisco -dot- com> To:techwr-l -at- lists -dot- techwr-l -dot- com Date:Fri, 31 Oct 2008 10:56:11 -0500
Hi,
I'm getting back in the Tech Writing field and I'm behind the times.
A local company that develops websites was so snowed by my writing samples
that they overlooked my resume, which showed clearly (as I TOLD them), that
I have no web experience.
Of course we are developing 6 different projects at once, all due
yesterday. I feel like I'm trying to capture water from a fire hydrant with
a wine glass.
So....
I'm looking for:
1) Stylesheets specifically for web writing
2) Something that will get me up to speed on terminology, such as 'captcha'
(I know what that is), and other parts of a webpage.
3) Is there an accepted format for submitting copy to the graphics people?
The coders? etc.?
4) Any other helpful advice you care to share.
Anything you can suggest to get me up to speed will be deeply appreciated.
Much thanks in advance.
Susan
